Design Balance LLC is an independent minority / veteran owned company specializing in air & hydronic balancing of environmental systems. We also offer services in indoor air quality, sound & vibration, commissioning of HVAC systems, HVAC fire life safety, and biosafety cabinets & fume hood testing.

The manager and other key personnel have all served in apprenticeship programs in the Sheet Metal Workers International Association and have actively been involved with HVAC systems since the early seventies.  Design Balance employees continually upgrade their certifications to meet current specifications. All staff being union members of Sheet Metal Workers Local 49

Our company is a member in the following organizations: Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning National Association (SMACNA),, Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Bureau (TABB), . We also follow guidelines written by National Environmental  Balancing Bureau (NEBB), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Our technicians are guaranteed continuing education to meet cutting-edge technological advances in the HVAC industry via The National Energy Management Institute (NEMI )

All services performed by our company shall meet current standards set forth by TABB and NEBB.

The services provided are used to ensure the proper operation of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Building owners, engineers, and contractors utilize Design Balance to make sure all building systems are delivering what was designed in either a renovation or new construction project.

Upon completion of the HVAC balancing, a certified test and balance report is issued. This test and balance report is a report card of the system performance which is given to the building owner, engineer, and contractor.
